The captivating story, Thistledom, by John W. LaCroix reveals a tiny kingdom hidden somewhere in the Land of the Mitten -- home to intelligent and resourceful little people called Nobbies. Mr. LaCroix creates a marvelous mix of characters, creatures, and life values in a carefully crafted narrative that is truly a refreshing tale for all ages. Struggles with nature and strange outside forces threatening to destroy them reveals much about character, courage, pride, and the price of personal commitment. Throughout the five volume series, powerful personalities and partnerships forge and shape a kingdom, but tragedy linked to an eerie presence in the bog at the base of the mountain alters forever the course of Nobby history. Spanning generations replete with great moments of glory, haunting disappearances, deep family anguish and feats of heroism, Thistledom endures as a Land filled with opportunity, challenges and choices - not unlike our own.

I'm one of the artists that are illustrating family portraits of the Thistledom world.
